TRAINING ON SAFEGUARDS POLICY AND RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN (RAP) FOR RAMP TEAM

It was organized by the World Bank in collaboration with the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) of Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP).

It was also in response to a decision taken at World Bank RAMP Mission held in October 2017 where it was agreed that Safeguards Officers (Environmental and Social) and other relevant officers be trained on safeguards.

However, the training was conducted by the World Bank Safeguards Specialists. This all important training was held on 27th to 30th November, 2017 at Renaissance Hotel, 38/40 Isaac John Street Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. The training focused on Safeguards Policy and RAP Implementation for RAMP Team.

The essence of the training was to equip participants with relevant and up-to-date knowledge including action plan to be able to handle Citizen Engagement, Grievance Redress Mechanism, Labour Influx Management, Safeguards Policy and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) in all RAMP projects life cycles.

In attendance were participants from the FPMU, RAMP-2 States and RAMP-3 States.
